We are using Joomla 2.5.17 & Jomsocial 2.8.

We have invite friends option in jomsocial events page (Check the attached scrrenshot for reference).

In the same way Can we have invite friends option in Jomsocial group events page?
We don't see any events in your demo site.

This option is not available in the groups because of the simple fact that your friends, doesnt necessarily have to be members of the same groups you are.
The thing gets complicated with private groups too.

Imagine you make a private group, and event in it, and then some random user invittes the bunch of his friends to your private event, in your private group :)
Not really convenient isnt it :)
