I have both Enable File Sharing for Bulletin and Enable File Sharing for Discussion to yes, and file limit sets to 0.

In individual group setting, there is no file related setting available, I am assuming it's all set.

I have using the latest Joomla 3.2.1 and JomSocial 3.1.0.1.

I am not able to see any file upload options in create discussion and announcement, is there any other way to upload file? I don't see any documentation related to this, seems like it's a bug.

This is an urgent issue as we are doing an POC by Saturday.

There is a bug for creating the groups in frontend and backend, the fields aren't match, e.g. there is an option for enabling file upload in front end, but you can't see it in backend.

I tried both way of creating groups, still get no luck on seeing any upload file options.

This is very critical for our launch, please help fix it.

Hi Qiang,

I am very sorry about the slow reply, I have had a look and all your settings are correct and uploading files in a discussion is feature in Jomsocial

There are a few things i would need to check to establish where the problem is but wanted to ask that it is ok to do on your site before i proceed.

1. i need to change the site template to default to see if that changes the issue .
2. i need to check if there are any template overrides in your current template that may not be compatible with Jomsocial 3.1 for this i will need FTP access if you can add those details into your original post i will be able to work out where the issue is and resolve it for you.

Our site will go alive on 01-20-2014, I can't let you do that in production. But I will create a dev.firstjobs.ca to let you experiment the feature. I will update the thread to let you know.

Thanks for your feedback.

Hi Qiang

I have gone to the test site and below are the steps i did to create a discussion and upload a file which is working correctly on this site

1. went to test group then options > edit group
2. tick enable file sharing next to the discussion heading
3. save and return to group
4. click on discussion then select create new discussion
5 enter title/ description then tick the option allow user to upload files

when you go to the test group and click on discussion you can see the uploaded file

Hi thanks for your test,

I am assuming this is the test link you created,
firstjobs.ca/portal/vip-login/groups/vie...discussion?groupid=3

I don't see a upload option under this test topic.. can you provide me a screenshot?
