I upgraded to the latest version of jomsocial and the links to Events or view all events no long works. In addition after upgrading, my Deluxe News Pro by JoomlaXTC only shows a white box on the front page.

Please check again, this issue caused by cache system, i disabled cache from Joomla and works fine now.. I suggest you change the cache system, like use jot cache, because cache on joomla hard to be controlled.

Can you explain which cache system. I'm using JCH Optimize, is this the system that needs to be off. Or does the Joomla Cache system be turned off?

Or can you explain the steps of turning off so that if I run into this again, I can quickly fix.

Simply I fixed it by modify Joomla Config->System->set "System Cache" to Off, that cache still take old file so its making your site broken.

JCH Optimize is not problem, you can use and enable it :)
