ISSUE SUMMARY:
We would like to display events by event category.
There is no menu item option to display by 'Event Category' ?

One part of our site is dedicated to our Community Events and another to our Teacher Training Events and we need to display these events separately on the respective pages.

Also, when displaying All Events on the front end there is no option to select the 'Event Category'?

Please see our event list here:
www.inrhythm.com.au/community-drumming/event-list

Thanks for your assistance

Hi,

I found some menu items for all events entry page.
and I fround a bug regarting all events page as menu item.
you need to wait for the fix.

and about how to make new menu item by event category, you can using this trick:
1. goto events at jomsocial toolbar
2. select all events from my events page
3. filter it by category
4. copy the page URL e.g:
inrhythm.com.au/online-store/drum-traini...display?categoryid=5
5. goto joomla backend > menus > select meny type e.g: main menu > click new, select menu item type System Links > external URL
6. put URL without domain as link value e.g:
/online-store/drum-training-a-workshops/display?categoryid=5

Hi,

here the temp fix:
edit /components/com_community/views/events/metadata.xml at line 10
changing it from

<default name="All Events" msg="Displays all events from the site" />
to
<option value="display" name="All Events" msg="Displays all events from the site" />

Regards
