Disclaimer: I do not know if this is a bug or a minor code alteration for me.
ISSUE SUMMARY:
As you can see at the site med-sec.org at the top right corner there is the calender. Even though I have chosen in the module Display settings: All events, I can only see the events on this month.
I would like to have these two options:
If no events exist this month show first upcoming event, if no more upcoming events exist show title with "Past events" and show first found past event.

sorry, jomsocial cant do that. JS event calendar only showing current month as default.
your request is beyond of jomsocial support, because need big core files changes.

please have a look the code at:
/modules/mod_community_eventscalendar/

after you understand how the code work, you need to create new module.
you cannot changing jomsocial module code. because all changes will be disappeared at upgrade process.
