ISSUE SUMMARY:
I have created several new events but can't seem to see how to change the event thumb. I can change the cover image but there use to be a thumbnail image as well which also appears on the list of events.
Does anyone know how to change it ?

event thumbnail automatically created base on event cover image. this is by design.

I see that in the list view of events but I have a module on my front page showing up and coming events.

It has two events I made some months ago and the nice event thumb I added and the two events I made last night but the have a microphone as a thumb.
I am sure I use to be able to change that on the create an event page ?

that module not belongs to jomsocial. seem that from 3rd party or custom made.
jomsocial event module will have calendar as thumbnail.
