Events Module Shows Todays Date, Not Event's

ISSUE SUMMARY:
Events module shows the current date and not the event's scheduled date.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Create an event (public, private or invite only)
2 Navigate to the frontpage of said community
3 View Events module
4 Bask in the knowledge of knowing today's date is shown on event listings inside the module
5
RESULT: Current date is shown in module listing
EXPECTED RESULT: Event's scheduled date to be shown, not the current date
BROWSER: All

I have attached two screenshots showing the issue. The event details page displays all information correctly - it is just the events module.

the issue from the template it self. I turned off client side date from template manager at Features section:
