Hi, Guido.

It seems to be a valid bug. I report it to our developers.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi, Guido.

Bug report was rejected:

This is default behavior. We show all the results that are found. Its not a bug but rather WAD

But these events are passed and the date is shown as if they are upcoming! At least a badge showing "past event" like in JS3 should be shown - otherwise it is confusing. Past events were hidden in JS3 and could be looked at in the navigation "past events". This way they make no sense.

Sorry, but you also thought it's a bug - so users will do, too!

Hi, Guido.

Well, developers don't accept it as a bug... I can't do anything about it.
Please, post feature request...

I understand you, but not the developers as a feature request for a standard of previous version and nonsense at that view is really disappointing. "Past events" is selectable and users won't see that the event is passed. With every modifying of core files updates take so much longer. It's not a feature - it's a bug. I'm sure that other users will report it very often in the future so somewhen it will be fixed anyway.

Thank you for the clarification. I know it's not your fault.

For those who don't want past events to be shown by default (no guarantee - works on my page):

Edit /components/com_community/models/events.php
At line 469 add

. ' AND ('.$db->quoteName('startdate').' >= NOW()) '

remove the ; in line 486 and add in line 487
. ' AND ('.$db->quoteName('startdate').' >= NOW()) ';

Be careful! It's a core modification and will unfortunately be lost by updating JS.

Hi, Guido.

Thank you for this snippet... it will be useful for other users.
I passed it to our developers... but if they agree to implement it... it's up to PO...
