Hello,

Some of the Email Notifications are blank.......

See Below.

For Example:

1) If someone post something in the event... the email notification is blank
2) if someone replies to an entry/comment... the email notification is blank

It's a valid bug and was already reported to our developers.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Could you check if this fix works for you?

Make safe copy of this file:

ROOT/omponents/com_community/controllers/system.php

And replace original with attached file.

Did you upload patched file? I can't see it in modified files in JomSocial Troubleshooting.
Could you upload it again? What is the result? no change or some errors?

No change.... same thing...

I also noticed that using that file that you sent .. is not generating the notification if someone post something in "your" event...

("*** posted something in your ***** event.")
