Groups Events to appear in My Events and Pending Invitations

Hi,

Almost all our events are Group Events. Therefore people are confused when they get an invitation and go to My Events or Pending Invitations and they can't see the invitation they received.

Please can you tell me how to get Group Events to display there.....

Hi, Susan.

Thank you for reporting this. I agree that group event invitations should be displayed on pending event invitation together with all other. It seems that this issue slipped out our developers.

Changing this will require core files to hack so it will be better to avoid this.
I'll report this issue to our developers.
I'll update you if I'll receive any response from them.

I just realized that group events don't have invite feature... so this is not a big at all.
You'll need to post a feature request...

Hi Michal,

I cannot post a feature request unfortunately, as we used up our votes....

Feature request - "don't stop your users making feature requests by giving them limited votes on user voice!". If I want a feature then it is likely some other Jomsocial users will want it to, but I am stopped from posting it! Also, Jomsocial is not very responsive to the user voice anyway:

e.g. 15 people voted for the feature request I made "allow event admin to see 'Not Attending'" but no-one at Jomsocial has even commented on that feature request! (Luckily which you wrote a hack for - thanks so much - but other people should benefit!)

It feels to me like the user voice system is not effective, and that Jomsocial is not responding fast enough to put new features in the Roadmap. Technology is changing fast We have a lot of suggestions to make to improve the site based on real user feedback and now we can't make them.....

In particular we have a lot we could tell you about improving the events and messaging features of Jomsocial.

I don't think getting the users to vote is the only way you should decide on a new feature. For instance I have posted another feature request "Make mobile responsive version much simpler" and no-one voted for it. And yet Globally 60% of internet usage is "I mostly use the internet on my Mobile". The fact that no-one has voted for this feature request shows that the user voice system is out of kilter with the trends in technology.....

I know it is not your personal user voice system! But it is frustrating for us not to be able to give better advice on how to improve Jomsocial!

I see... in this case you'll need to contact directly with Paul (Support Manager) or Sinisa (Product Owner)... or Merav (CO) and share your thoughts and ideas with them. That's only thing I can suggest now.
