Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
How can I create a JomSocial event which has a start and end location e.g. a walk or picnic with multiple stops? I would like to see the complete route displayed on the Google Map.
You can't set event like that. Each event has only one location field.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
In many cultures across the globe, multi-venue events are everyday occurrences. A funeral starts with a church service and then goes to a site miles-away for burial. A march starts in one location and moves along a route towards another. A cruse (different ports, duration of stop, etc.), a hike (bike or walking), a tour and so many more...
Is this type of expansion on the JomSocial events road-map or even just the ability to add extra-fields?
Do you know of any solutions which should integrate with JomSocial to offer us this type of detail in our event creation?
Hmmm, never heard about an event manager that allows to set two or more locations for one event... you may check this extension. Then go go JED and check other available map extensions and events manager.
It's not a matter additional fields... whole event system need to be rebuild in order to do multilocation feature. Not easy a task...
