Hi, Juan.

Yes. Category shows how many Events are assigned to category... not how many Events are included in child categories.
So to main category none Evens are assigned so nothing is displayed.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi Michal,

Thanks for your quick reply.

I understand. But would not it be interesting to know that the main category includes "x" number of events, although these events are distributed in subcategories of the main category? Indeed, a subset of each event is in turn an event from the main category.

Hi, Juan.

Hmm, probably yes. But main category contains 0 Events as they are assigned to child categories.
So counting of events should be recurring...

Please, post your suggestion here: uservoice.jomsocial.com/forums/101561-feature-request

Hi Michal,

My only concern is that in this case there seems no events in these major categories, especially if you don't know that there are subcategories.

Thanks anyway.

Hi, Juan.

I see your point. But this part of code do what is designed for: counts elements inside a category. If element is in child category de facto is in other one than parent one... but I agree it should include child elements as well.

Pos a feature request...

Or hire a developer to do it for you: www.jomsocial.com/jomsocial-developers
