When members select their attendance to an event which allows guests, there is no guest option so the total number of people is not showing up, only the members.

Hi, Mike.

You probably mean this option: "Allow guest to invite". But tool tip explains it: Allow or disallow event guest attendees to invite their friends to join event.

Event attendees = guests.

List of attendee is displayed in few places:

1. On activity stream: Michal and 4 others are attending test. (where 4 display list of latest attendee)
2. Event module: 1 attendee
3. In event under Event cover
4. In Event in form of module called: Confirmed Guests with "View all (1)" button

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Yes, of course I have Guests option enabled. I thought I mentioned that.

>Event attendees = guests.

Not sure what this means.

I see no options in community events module to show guests. No guests are showing anywhere. The number is always 'bob and 4 others are attending' but those are the site members, guests are not being added into the count.

Hi, Mike.

"Guests" in Events are not "guests" of your site. Only your site MEMBERS could be GUESTS in Event. That's why I wrote:
Event attendees = guests.

Only registered MEMBERS could be an Event attendees and thus become GUESTS on Event.

You mistake Event guests (that are Event attendees that is site MEMBERS) with "guests" that are NOT registered visitors or your site (Joomla! identify them as "members" of "guest" group). NO unregistered user/visitor ("guest") can join Event.

So all site registered MEMBERS that attend Event are GUESTS and list of them is displayed in Event, on Activity stream and Event Module.
