Hi, Andrea.
I can't reach your backend, I'm redirected to fronend. Please edit your first post and check administrator credentials.
When you create event you can add html tags in description. To do that click on tools and then "Source code"
Hi Michal,
I have updated the admin info accordingly. I have already tried doing this but the tags still keep getting taken out. Here is what I would like to embed:
<div style="width:100%; text-align:left;" ><iframe src="https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/tickets-external?eid=8948684757&ref=etckt" frameborder="0" height="338" width="100%" vspace="0" hspace="0" marginheight="5" marginwidth="5" scrolling="auto" allowtransparency="true"></iframe><div style="font-family:Helvetica, Arial; font-size:10px; padding:5px 0 5px; margin:2px; width:100%; text-align:left;" ><a style="color:#ddd; text-decoration:none;" target="_blank" href="http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/r/etckt">Sell Tickets</a> <span style="color:#ddd;">through</span> <a style="color:#ddd; text-decoration:none;" target="_blank" href="http://www.eventbrite.co.uk?ref=etckt">Eventbrite</a></div></div>
Hi, Andrea.
I see that you're trying to ad iframe. WYSIWYG editor will clear it as it is potentially dangerous code. But here is what you can do:
1. Install JCE editor
2. Switch editors in Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Configuration -> Layout -> Display Settings (at right) -> Use Text Editor -> set to plg_editors_jce
3. Go to JCE configuration Backend -> Components -> JCE Editor -> Editor Profiles -> create new profile or use Default -> Plugin parameters -> Media support -> Allow IFrames -> YES
You can set different profile for different user groups if you don't want that your users upload pictures or use any other JCE feature. Play around with it.
Hi, Andrea.
Yes, you're right. JomSocial is striping code from <iframe> tags (as a potential threat).
So I have a two solution for this:
1. Create an event and add <iframe> to description directly in database (via PhpMyAdmin)
Table: _community_events, column: description
2. This one will be more complicated if you want to have different code on different events.
You'll need to edit Events template
ROOT/components/com_community/template/default/events.viewevent.php
add module position just above event description and wrap it with condition so this module position will be displayed on certain event id
So I think that first solution will be much easier to apply.
