I'm wondering how difficult it would be to make Events subject to admin approval prior to publication include the cover and avatar upload and setting PRIOR to the approval process -- rather than how it is currently, where they're added after approval. If the user is going to be a pest and create an event that's not legitimate, they are likely to use the cover and avatar images as part of their spam/abuse. But those aren't added to an event until after they're already approved and published on the site.

Not including these also means a lot of users fail to come back and update the cover/avatar of their event after approval, resulting in a lot of default covers & avatars, which never looks good.

Could adding the cover and avatar be part of the event creation process PRIOR to administrative approval? That would solve a lot of issues.

Thank you for listening and for your consideration.

Hi, Matt.

Well. most things can be done :) But as for now you have three options:
- you could add a feature request: uservoice.jomsocial.com/forums/101561-feature-request and wait till it be approved...
- hire a developer to customize that for you: www.jomsocial.com/jomsocial-developers
- leave it as it is :)

This customization will need to rebuild a whole process of administrator approval for events and most likely include core files hacking...

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
