I want there to be a URL field for the event website. It should be optional but there, so that event creators can put it in. Often times they forget. It would serve as a reminder, as well as create an easily clickable link to the event details on the event's official website.

Please help me add this to my site. I do not wish to wait for the next release -- though I would highly recommend that this be added at that time as well.

Thanks!

Hi, Matt.

As you know from our Support Policy we don't support customizations so I can give you only a overall tip how to achieve it.

Please look into the JomSocial template files: ROOT/components/com_community/templates/default/ and look for files that follow this naming: events.XXXXXX.php - those are the events files that are responsible for showing any event-related jomsocial pages. You should start by looking there.

Use view override feature to not loose your customization after upgrade: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Customizing_Template

Also, if you think that event website field is an good idea, please make a feature request: uservoice.jomsocial.com/forums/101561-feature-request

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
