I can't create new events

Hi there,

I have noticed that users can't crate events in Jomsocial. After filling in the form I press the "Create event" button and nothing happens.

We are using the latest version of Jomsocial and the event form has no template override.

Could you please take a look at it and help me to solve this issue?

Hi, Eduardo.

Please unblock access to backend. When I try to enter is I get "Forbidden".


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi Eduardo,

I am sure this issue caused by your hack template, I recommened you to use template event.forms.php with the original one.

Hi Dimas,

I am not using the events.forms.php in my hack template, so this file should be taken form the default template.

However, I have tried to insert this file into my template and nothing has changed and I also tried to set the default Jomsocial template and I still can't create new events.

Any idea about what could it happen?

Even I cant access your backend URL www.nightsurfing.com/administrator/ I didnot any change to check the username/password, because I cant access the form as well.

Maybe country restriction issue?

Hi Dimas,

I have been in contact with my hosting support team and they told me that they have to enable access to non-Spanish speaking IPs.

So please, provide me the IP address from you are connecting and I will ask to my hosting support to include it in the whitelist.

I am using dynamic IP i am not sure it will solve this..if possible can you just enable the IP for my country Indonesia for awhile please?

Hi Dimas,

They have included a special rule that will grant you the access to our back office.

Please confirm this point and try to figure out which problem is preventing us to create new events in our site.

Hi Eduardo,

Your issue caused by 3rd party extension plugin the "paidevent" you need check it and fill the field inside it.. so the event will submitted and saved well
