JomSocial Expired

I'm using jomsocial on a nursing home website. I got a request from the staff for them to be able to add events to the website (for things like bingo, movie showings, markets, trips, etc.) I know jomsocial has a very nice events component, however I need to be able to restrict the creation of events to nursing home employees and I can't figure out how I do this without granting all users the ability to create events.

Furthermore I can't find an option to add events from the backend, currently all tasks on the website for employees are done through the backend and I would like to keep it this way if possible. I'm using version 3.1.0.1 (just upgraded) It gives me a noticed that "now events can only be added in the frontend". is this temporary or is this not going to be implemented at all?

Cheers!

Hi Leo.

This's pretty simple, go to back-end>components>jomsocial>events settings and set "Allow Events Creation " to "no", and then only user with admin rights will be able to create events.
