Hello. First of all - there is no problem with demo and comminity site.

But I tested it in my site with Atomic template and without JS-template override.

If I resize "Event catalog page" to less than ~700 px it doesn't display "Add event" button.
For example if user use iPad in "portrait" mode, he can't see it.

It appear only in event (there is no such problem with videos, groups and albums).

I added some screens (blue: default template: joomla and js; red - customs) with button and without it.

Well to be honest I'm not able to replicate this issue on my test site, so probably it's caused by some other extension. Could you check if this problem will also appear on fresh Joomla/JomSocial site?

Problem apper when I turn off Allow Import / export from iCal.

So could you also try to replicate this on our demo site for instance? Or some fresh install of Joomla/JS so we could make sure that it's not caused by something else.

No, but I can see the same problem at another site with JS (without other components and plugins) after turn off Allow Import / export from iCal.

Hello. You need to turn off iCal import/ export and resize window to small or open it in ipad portrait with any joomla template.
