So, am I to understand that I cannot use the "community" forum to search for answers to problems Im having with this component without paying a renewal of $150??
I understand not being able to get updates, or support, or even posting in the forum... but I cant even see replies to posts that have my issue resolved in them??

Yes. my license has expired. I have been using it with no issue for quite some time. I have one small issue that Im sure has been answered in the forum somewhere, and the first issue I have with the component, I have to pay $150 to SEE the forum replies.
Had I known this when buying this. Never woulda happened. I have never seen this type of ransom technique before with ANY joomla product. Please tell me I'm wrong or I missed something.
The subscription includes updates and support acces. If you want to check your own threads please check your email client to find a copy of the answers.
