I just purchased JomSocial again, and I would really like to integrate...

I just purchased JomSocial again, and I would really like to integrate the "Love Factory" dating module. I would modify that module, so rather than looking for romance, people would be seeking workout partners who live locally.

In previous versions of JomSocial and Love Factory there was no integration, but I've heard that the latest versions of both can work together. Has anyone done it?

Hi Paul,

there is no integration with jomsocial, since Love Factory is itself a social component and it's no advantage to run both components on the same site. Of course you can install them both an the same Joomla installation, there is no limitation regarding this, but the components do not communicate with each other,...templating:home">wiki.thephpfactory.com/doku.php

Michał Argh... they use smarty for templates... not cool... You see, we don't do integrations with 3rd party extensions. it's usually other way round. So the only solution here will be to hire a professional developer who do it for you. 10 years ago

Paul It's very hard for me to believe there are no dating site modules compatible with JomSocial. The demand is out there. This is frustrating. If I want to develop for JomSocial, which languages should I use? I assume it's CSS/HTML, but do I need Java or Ruby? 10 years ago

Michał JomSocial has it own dating module which is advanced search module that allows to search users by sex and age. Please, check it - it's in JomSocial package. 10 years ago

Paul Michal, dating modules are more than simply searches, though a customized search is a big part of it. It should include more features than a simple search. There's approvals and rejections, integration with google maps (which can probably be done with a different plugin but not with photos of the people on the map), etc.

Michał But JomSocial already have Advanced Search where you could build even complicated query. Also there a re friend requests. When viewing someone profiles "About me" all fields are click-able and allow to search by them. 10 years ago
