I prefer recommendations from JS gurus: Anyone knows of an extension with which I could add a dating-like plugin/component to my JS site which has proven successful with JS? It should have about the same functionalities as the usual common dating sites like "..I am.." and "...I am looking for..." and "..search..." and the possiblity for individual member to post inbetween themselves out of view of... Did you enable profile info on profile covers? that's a good place to start. Also, you can make the profile page show profile details instead of a stream, by default. The structure of js permits multiple profiles, simply create at least two, male and female memberships, then using js customisable fields, set the right questions for a dating profile.    First Merav's dating module. It sounds very interesting to me. I assume the module is a kind of preparation or adaption for installed dating extentions to connect to. One thing that might be worth considering is the type of site that I am currently buliding, a mix of non-dating and dating. The primary objective of my site is a normal run of the mill social platform and not related to dating. I do however, wish to implement dating as an additional feature because I think it would be accepted and used by many users. A dating site, however, has somewhat different profile fields. If, for instance, I would have sexual preference or marital staus as a fields in my profiles, my normal users would say that that is of nobody's business and would tell me to bugger off (they would probably telly me to fuck off, but I am using good language here) and never come back to my site again. 
   Therefore it would be good if there could be some kind of category split on user profiles, other than the multi profiles JS already has. One way using the existing multi profiles could perhaps be to change the radio buttons to check boxes in the user registration allowing the user to select more than one profile type, thereby indcluding the profile fields for the selected profile types. E.g. profile type "Standard" has field "Age" and profile type "Dating" has field "Marital status" Selecting both profile types would include both profile fields and selecting just "Standard" would include only the field "Age". It then of-course gets more complicated when it comes to showing profile information for other users becase the dating user does not want all normal users to see the entries from the dating section. It takes a lot of thinking, but that is where you guys are good :-)  I just wanted to give you some thought from a site that is a mix of dating and non-dating and where dating is not the primary focus.

First I will get the basiks of my site in order and turn that part productive, then I will implement a text chat (looked at video chat, but very expensive :-( ).
