Marcel here is what you can do as temporary solution. As you know K2 has its own profile system and it cant be disabled because it is the core of the K2 component but what you can do if you have limited authors on your site. Make 301 redirection via httacess file in my case I have redirected author link to contact page but it can be done to point to profile page. In my case it looks like this:...

But you must make sure that url containing part "autor/author" is unique to only k2 or ou will get redirects from other components.
