I was just in the support forum and saw your post. one of the biggest mistakes I made was using Godaddy to host my site. Godaddy is great if your looking for a domain name or just a simple website. Jomsocial is not a simple website.

True Joomla! + JomSocial is a huge application... and if you'll have a lot of members, you'll need a lot of server resources. You can't expect that fo $1 on GoDaddy

You need to watch your Community closely as it's like dynamic organism. Many depends how active your members are and how fast you run out of resources (disc space etc.). You may try to presume that doing a calculation - but there is no sure method.
