Hey guys!

I was just wondering what the maximum number of users JS could handle per domain/subdomain with independent database and how many users online at any one given point creating frontpage stream items as well as participating in group discussions and group stream activity etc.

I see some of you guys have big sites and was just wondering if any of you guys have ever run into performance...

Saovry If you need your site still loads quickly when you have many users online on the same time. You refer to use VPS or Dedicate Server. JS does not handal but the first start you can use small plan with VPS. 9 years ago

Alex And my question has to do with theoretical backend php code of JS web app not server as bottleneck so lets just assume on a beefy dedicated server or even better on a beefy AWS EC2 LAMP stack instance with Cloud Front CDN and SS3 setup. Question has to do with scaling this tech. Vertical scaling would be throw more processing power at it horizontal scaling would be more complex way of breaking... Show more 9 years ago
