Ok, thanks! I like it and think it will work, but I will just have to take the plunge. I assume since it's open source that there aren't any guidelines saying you can't make money off whatever you turn your version of JS into? Meaning, there's no rules saying you can't use paid membership for your social media site?

You can do with JomSocial whatever you want, in fact we encourage you to make money out of selling memberships payplan has integration with JomSocial FYI
