Xristoph Conrad I agree with you regarding the control aspect. I've used both grou.ps and Ning...both are pretty decent with lots of add-on's but they keep the database, not you. That leaves the open source...

Buddypress has potential if you like Wordpress. Community Builder needs LOTS OF WORK. For me, that leaves JomSocial, which has a lot of integrations, decent support, and cost isn't bad considering what you... Show more 9 years ago
