In what version of JS did photos and videos posted as regular status updates stop automatically also showing in the gallery?
MoniThanks for the reply. I just posted a photo to my stream here as a REGULAR STATUS UPDATE (not as a photo update) and the photo does not appear in the 'photos' section of the main site, not even in "my photos". In older versions of JS I seem to recall that an album under photos would be created in the main photos section even is I posted the photo as a regular status update (without clicking the...Thanks for the reply. MoniAs a status update (where is says "say what's on your mind", you simply post a link to the photo and it appears in your stream, but nowhere in the site photos section, not even in "my photos". *I am NOT referring only to photos that are actually uploaded to the site.

Here is another example. If I post the link to a video either as a regular status update or by using the 'Video' icon on the profile/community wall, the video shows in my feed, but it does not appear in the community videos section, nor in "my videos". However, if I use the 'Add Video' button from the videos section to post the link, the video shows in the main video area of the site. This seems confusing to the end user. Should users simply learn to treat content links posted to our walls differently from video links posted with the "Add Video" button in the videos section?Show more8 years ago
MoniThat makes sense, but why does that logic apply when using the video icon from the wall to post a video link, but not when using the Add Video button from the video gallery area to post a link? With both methods the user is simply pasting a link (that could be to a PDF), but only one of the methods posts to the video gallery.
