MoniUnderstandable. However, the bugs contained in your releases typically affect important core features- often features that are the very reason why we pay for a license in the first place. Perhaps release less often but a more solid product that delivers what has been advertised. It's like your paying customers are your beta testers.10 years ago
MoniAs a loyal (perhaps TOO loyal) customer, I have updated my license multiple times (including just today). Jomsocial promises all the features we want but doesn't quite deliver, even when updated every couple weeks. It's like you say, "Give us your money but do not expect this product to really work. We'll keep developing- just maybe eventually giving you what you paid for."Show more10 years ago
AlanWhat do you find stops you using the software Moni, be specific? I run it on my network with over 100k members with no major issues, when the odd bug causes me an issue it is usually fixed quite swiftly. I imagine many "bugs" and issues people encounter that stops them from getting the site they want is due to user error or other issues tbh10 years ago
MoniEverything/anything that does not work as it should- as it is designed to work-as it is advertised to work, as I have paid for- definitely not user error. But, I understand your assumptions. Perhaps the issues that are presented with each new "bug fix" release are minor to you and your members though. I do not fall into that category. AlanWhat current bug is hindering your community then, be specific? I assume you post all of these bugs on the forum? If not how are they to know and fix10 years ago
MoniI don't find it necessary to post the same thing other users post. And, yes. Bugs reported do get fixed. That isn't the issue. I don't believe you get it. Nor do I believe you can resolve it. Thank you for your input though.10 years ago
MoniI was not assuming. I was referring to issues that get posted. I don't post something that has already been posted. There is no point in that (which is what I said already).
On another note, I have to admit 4.0.7 has been pretty solid for me with the exception of the one bug that caused a 500 error on profiles set for public view. I found the fix in the forums, btw. Anyway, hope I didn't ruffle...I was not assuming. I was referring to issues that get posted. I don't post something that has already been posted.
