Put this script in the same directory of the index.php file for Joomla and type in your browser: http://www.yoursite.com/translatediff.php
This little script is used for comparing a new English language file of JomSocial to your "old" own language file.
It looks at file language/en-GB/en-GB.com_community.ini and your own language file. This is so you can easily see what new lines have been added and so what needs to be translated. The script then reads line by line and prints out which lines were added in the English language file.
I made this very quickly, so I just decided how I want the output of the script to be. The output for a new line is like this:
CC NEW LINE=English Text - TRANSLATE
As you can see, it will list the new line with the English words and put - TRANSLATE at the end. Now you can copy all this text and paste it at the bottom or top of your own language file. This means that these new lines are not grouped in categories like in the English language file. Maybe I can fix that in later versions of this script.
Then just open Notepad or something like that and search for all the - TRANSLATE lines and translate them
