This menu is not responsive...
YOu can see if you login to my site and make the window small like mobile phone:

Maybe you know why its not responsive... On demo site of knu the menu is responsive. Unfortunelly the owner of this module dont answer since 3 weeks...

Its not important for me to take this module... If you can explain me how i can make my own notification/friends/message and seatch Button I will make my own menu, but I dont know how i can make the popup like Jomsocial menu

not sure why not responsive, because that extension not belongs to jomsocial, but KNU it self.
you can asking KNU support for more.

and about create own noti, friends, message. here the doc:

you need to create new joomla plugin (as 3rd party extensions). and for search button, you can see the example at jomsocial members search module.
