Regardind #1 I added the FTP Connection info that will allow you to check the source, besides Admin login info.

Regarding "A" item: Ok, done !

Regarding "B" item (page title): I changed ALL "$title" variables in "head.php" to " JText::_($title)", but does not change the Page Title. Maybe because the page title when you access a Group Page is "Group NAME OF THE GROUP" , a kind of string concatenation done in another place, isn't? Please advise.

#1 Yes, it's everything okay, but for some reason in a particular Group I needed to edit the field "description" and remove a blank space at the end of the Language Constant to make it work. Now the description is absolutely fine. Who can "guess" these tricks? :-)

#2 That place you changed in the "head.php" code, I would never have managed to find without your help :-). But there is something weird in the Page Title after your fixing: In pt-BR it's okay to show the Group Name, but in English no. Take a look on the Page Title of the same Group page on both languages:

Portuguese (pt-BR) (Group Name okay):

English (en) (Group Name showing the Language Constant):



I have the Language Constants okay in the PT-BR and EN-GB "override.ini" file, since the Group Name inside the page is displaying correctly.

Can you advise?

I think your en-GB string is not correctly, thats why the english version is broken, please you check again.

note : I cant access your backend site, the username / password is wrong

The user / password for the backend is the same of the FTP, anyway I will update the corresponding fields.

I'm not sure if the problem is in the Language Constant, because the Group Name Constant in english-GB is working in other parts of the site, look the screenshot above.

I am sorry, I dont see any option to change the lang to english? when I set to mypets2.com/en-GB it always redirect to mypets2.com/pt-BR/

Well, actually this is a addtional job / hack jobs, for futher if you have the similiar issue which if you want expand your request, I suggest you hire the 3rd party developer for this, because we limit the support for any hack jobs

Thanks for all you help during this topic.

In fact the Groups in multilanguage it's a very useful feature, and very interesting for who wants to keep international people posting in the same groups, avoiding a lot of extra administration on thousands of groups. And of course for the kind of Project I'm working, makes a lot of sense.

At the beginning we realize as a simple change, except for a few "hidden" places where the Groups names doesn't follow a single standard to be referenced. That's why we consume more time to accomplish the change.

I'm not a PHP / Joomla Expert, I'm a IT Executive doing a "solo and independent" flight, so want to say thank you again for you time.

Now erverhing is okay, I just start wondering about the next version x current existing bugs x Groups Hacks. Maybe I will ask you some help again, but now at least I have the recipe about the changes done in the core source.

And as I told, fell free to "incorporate" my changes in the core source, if you consider this helpful for the community, and this will avoid re-work at my side :-)
