Asraf,
Now this is exactly one of the issues which are extremely frustrating to me and many other clients. It seems that you guys are more interested in passing on the call by saying "come up with another post".
Why could you not just take a look, since I did mention it much earlier in this post already?
Anyway.... that is just part of what I would call customer service....
Hi Andrew Gous,
Sorry to say you that we are taking time to give you proper guideline.
Hopefully by tomorrow, I will be able to.
Thanks for your patience.
Our forum site is actually taking part for mobile support and it is not yet finished.
After that, we all be able to collaborate with mobile devices too.
Thanks
Hello Andrew,
I have looked at issue
1) We are still not seeing any members on the map (Member Locations) in JomSocial Admin (Backend).
This appears to be caused by the language file not being English. Google maps identify location latitude longitude by city, state, country name but because you are using your own (Dutch) language file it looks like Google maps only reads the words in English so this would be something you will need to investigate with google maps to see if they can work with other languages.
2) The Demographic stats are also not working properly. It is not showing the male/female percentages...
There is a limitation at our code and we are improving it.
Once the improvement is available we will post it into this thread for you.
Meanwhile you have to stick with Male/Female option at the Gender field where you have placed COM_COMMUNITY_MALE/COM_COMMUNITY_FEMALE.
I have fixed it at your site (test development site). So no need to do anything.
Thanks
Hi Asraf,
Thanks for the update, see comments below:
1) Which language file were you referring to? I do not understand what you mean about using my own language file... Your comment does not seem correct as it is not a Google Maps issue. We are also using Google Maps for jReviews on this site and have thousands of places listed in Dutch in The Netherlands, and they display perfectly.
2) "Meanwhile you have to stick with Male/Female option at the Gender field where you have placed COM_COMMUNITY_MALE/COM_COMMUNITY_FEMALE.
I have fixed it at your site (test development site). So no need to do anything."
Where did you fix this exactly as I need to have it corrected on our LIVE site?
Thanks,
Andrew
Hi Andrew Gous,
About no 1: We are still not seeing any members on the map (Member Locations) in JomSocial Admin (Backend).
I have fixed the problem as
> Set COM_COMMUNITY_COUNTRY field type as country
> Make the field "visible"
Now "Member Location" at dashboard is showing as expected
About no 2: The Demographic stats are also not working properly. It is not showing the male/female percentages...
I have fixed this field as
> Set COM_COMMUNITY_FIELD_GENDER field type as select [not gender]
>Set option as [Male, Female]
Now the demographic stats of male and female at dashboard showing properly.
All changed are made at
http://www.oppasgids.nl/
Thanks
Hi Asraf,
Thanks for your efforts, great service!
1) This is already like that on the LIVE site.... Does it only show country marker rather than city?
2) Your suggested solution goes against the most recent update and changes as suggested by Sinasa - see this post:
www.jomsocial.com/forum/profile-universa...9-gender-field#61819
We had it previously as 'select' field, and then we were told to change it to 'gender'. And now you want us to change it again back to 'select'?????
Look forward to your reply.
Thanks,
Andrew
Hi Andrew Gous,
1) For now, Ya it is only country marker.
It will be enrich with state/province/city soon, hopefully.
2) I have informed to our developer about this issue.
actually if the COM_COMMUNITY_FIELD_GENDER field type is selected as Gender typed
It is not supporting Demographic Male/Female statistics with our latest version 3.1.0.4
Hopefully the fix will come soon.
Thanks
Hi Andrew,
I have notified Ashraf to follow up this issue when he starts his shift and update you on its progress
