Yes, this file size works now, but using a bigger one (166 MB, which is not really big for videos) fails and Chrome Developer Tools gives me a "ERR_CONNECTION_RESET" - this explains why the process bar flips back and starts again. There is no error in the server_log file. And as I see the screenshot as attached, this seems to be a software problem. There is no problem in uploading much bigger files with another software on the same server. The instability is - for my opinion - in JomSocial.
I found the error in the server_log:
[Mon Nov 14 12:47:07.296041 2016] [ssl:warn] [pid 46570:tid 139772352853888] AH01909: <Domain>:443:0 server certificate does NOT include an ID which matches the server name
What dies this mean? The duplicate server wehre I'm testing this has no SSL active!
Hi Alex,
ERR_CONNECTION_RESET mean your server down.. cant handle the big request.. we are using ajax method for uploading the video, seems it make your server down..
I will discuss this with our developer
thank you
anyway, you said this is not happening on another software, may I know what kind of software do you use? I will test upload the huge file on there..
For excample Guru Pro from your company or ResourceSpace - a open source asset management system.
But the error_log makes me confused. Because I switched off SSL at all on the server side and in the Joomla configuration aswell to test it and to eliminate the error. The error is:
[Mon Nov 14 12:47:07.296041 2016] [ssl:warn] [pid 46570:tid 139772352853888] AH01909: <Domain>:443:0 server certificate does NOT include an ID which matches the server name
This comes 4 times before I get a "-200 HTTP error" So this seems to be the point!
Hi Alexander,
Yes, it can be our AJAX upload code.. but well we cant provide you the solution as soon as possible.. maybe for time being you upload the smaller video and compress the video on your local first before you upload it.
thank you
Hello Dimas,
I´m really sorry to read that. The integration of Amazon S3 and external video converter services looked like this is a very important thing for JomSocial.
Hi Alex,
Yes, the huge upload make the server down.. I dont really know how the AJAX upload technically, but we will discuss with our Java Script developer regarding this..
Anyway, can you try upload the maximum file size via Guru? and see the server status then.
thank you!
OK, I need to wait some news from our developer to know this issue further..
thank you
hi Alexander,
Did you change the backend access? because I cant access it now, would you mind to edit it again, please? our developer will debug the issue on your site directly.
thank you!
