There seems to be an issue when a user tries to register on our website:
www.allotment.uk.com
Something is slowing down the process to the point that it timesout. I have discusse this with the host, and they have a limit of 45s before timeout occurs. I have updated to the latest version and I'm not sure how to fix this. At the moment nobody can register on our site.
Help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Hi Phyl,
I suggest you to ask the error detail with your hosting support "Something went wrong with the site caching!"
maybe your site using CDN or cloud flare? you can try to disable it.
if your hosting don't have clue about this error, I need your:
- administrator access detail (as super user)
- ftp
- phpmyadmin/cpanel
I need that for debugging purpose.
FYI: put any credential information at site info form, by editing your first post at this topic.
Regards,
Albert
Hi Albertus, this was the responce from the host. They suggested that the script behind the registration form is causing me to hit the mysql limit, but not sure wht this would be the case. They said:
"I will advise you to optimize your database or the php script responsible for the registration form
That way you can lower the mysql run time.
And you will get below the limit."
Any suggestions/ advice?
Thanks again
Hi Phyl,
I have a look at your cpanel, and I found joomla SuperCacher is enabled for your site. please try to disable it. and let see what happen for registration process.
I can't changing any configuration at your server. because i'm afraid for any mistake.

Albert
Hi Phly
if I disabling plugin System - K2, at registration process I will get this error message not 504 any more.
Fatal error: Class 'K2Table' not found in /home/allotmen/public_html/administrator/components/com_k2/tables/k2user.php on line 14
there is something wrong with K2 component. please try to disable it or re-install it with newest version.
Regards,
Albert
Hi Albert, I have updated to the latest version of K2, However I guess that error is the result of a k2/jomsocial integration plugin that is also active. If I disable this and also System-k2 plugin, I don't get the error above, but I do still get a 504 timeout.
