I just upgraded and I'm getting the same error message again!
Can you please fix this for me once and for all....? I don't want to get the same problem after every upgrade.

after I check the usr/www/users/xxxxxx/xxxxxx/libraries/joomla/table/user.php that file not up to date, seem the joomla version not using the latest one. after I replace the file from joomla latest version, no error any more.

please upgrade the joomla.

and you need to setup php configuration:
- allow_url_fopen = On
- Open basedir = none

this to tackle fetching issue if users share any URL at jomsocial.

I have now also upgraded my Joomla.

Now I want to upgrade my Jomsocial to Pro to remove the Jomsocial back link, will this also reset my default profile pic, thumbnails and site pic that I have changed?

Hi Dennis,

if the default pic or any changes by using override method, you can upgrade it straightly without uninstall anythings.

if the changes not using override. it will disappear/revert back.

For adding new user errors we had before, is this also fixed for the overrides....to allow space characters in Usernames?

yes, that correct. at joomla prev version not allowed username with white space. but for newest version it allowed.

I have just upgraded to JomSocial Pro and all my customisation reverted to default although I created the override folder as explained above.

My default profile pic, thumbnails, frontpage text customisation and site pic have changed.

Please help.

Please check it, I fixed for you. the images must put under:
/templates/protostar/html/com_community/images/

and I made override for frontpage.guests.php at /templates/protostar/html/com_community/
and changing line 13 from

$heroImage = JURI::root(true).'/components/com_community/templates/default/images/guest-bg.jpg';

$heroImage = JURI::root(true).'/templates/protostar/html/com_community/images/guest-bg.jpg';
