When a new user joins and completes the registration form (see attached) is it possible to redirect the back to home button to the actual home page of the site or alternatively remove the button
Hi Alan,
In that case you need small customization at
root/components/com_community/views/register/view.html.php at line 296
$message = JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_REGISTER_COMPLETE_ACTIVATE_REQUIRED');//$message = JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_REGISTER_COMPLETE_ACTIVATE_REQUIRED');
$mainframe->redirect(CRoute::_('channelfocuscommunity.net', false), JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_REGISTER_COMPLETE_ACTIVATE_REQUIRED'), 'error');
I followed the instructions you provided see below & it didn't change the direction of the back home button
if ($multiprofile->approvals || $com_user_activation_type == 2) {
$message = JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_REGISTRATION_COMPLETED_NEED_APPROVAL');
} else if ($com_user_activation_type == 1) {
//$message = JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_REGISTER_COMPLETE_ACTIVATE_REQUIRED');
$mainframe->redirect(CRoute::_('channelfocuscommunity.net', false), JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_REGISTER_COMPLETE_ACTIVATE_REQUIRED'), 'error');
} else if ($com_user_activation_type == 0) {
$message = JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_REGISTER_COMPLETE');
Hi, Alan.
Change domain name with . (dot) :) and try again.
Do you mean like so:
//$message = JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_REGISTER_COMPLETE_ACTIVATE_REQUIRED');
$mainframe->redirect(CRoute::_('.', false), JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_REGISTER_COMPLETE_ACTIVATE_REQUIRED'), 'error');
I tried the above and it didn't work
Hi, Alan.
Provide me with working FTP credentials.
Edit your first post and add them to corresponding fields.
Hi, Alan.
Please provide us with working administrator credentials.
I can't login to your site.
Please, edit your first post and add credentials to corresponding fields.
Do you have set Activation to Self or Admin? This hack wil work for Self only.
Hi Michal,
Activation is set to Admin.
I have plans to change to self later on once a further bit of customisation is added.
Can you confirm the change you were going to make so that i can apply at a later date.
Alternatively, is it possible to remove the back home button?
I've updated the admin credentials
Is admin activation going to be added to the next version of jomsocial?
Hi, Alan.
I can't say when admin activation will be added. It's up to PO. And he haven't decided yet.
But you can use workaround - set ONE profile in Multiprofiles and enable admin approval for it.
This hack will not work in your system as JomSocial home page is a submenu item...
So if you want to remove that button add this code to your main css file of your template:
.cRegister-Success .btn {
display: none;
}
Hi
i tried both the following on the template file (template.css in folder = /net/templates/ot_mektep/css)
.cRegister-Success .btn {
display: none !important;
}
.cRegister-Success .btn {
display: none;
}
but the back home button still remains
Any further help would be grateful
regards
Alan
Hi, Alan.
Ok, I edited register.success.php in JomSocial template files so button is gone.
It's on your live site...
Hi Michal,
i upgraded my test site ukitadesign.com and a live site cloudservicescommunity.net to the latest version of jomsocial
Everything went as planned to fix the announcements/avatar problems but the back home button on register.success.php is causing me problems.
previously you confirmed the following to get rid of it:
add <?php */ ?> see below
defined('_JEXEC') or die();
?>
<div class="cLayout cRegister-Success">
<p><?php echo $message; ?></p>
<?php /* ?>
<a href="<?php echo $uri; ?>" class="btn btn-primary">
<?php echo JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_BACK_HOME'); ?>
</a>
<?php */ ?>
</div>
If i add to cloudcommunityservices.net (folder cloud) i get an error
however in ukitadesign.com (folder www) the back home button is not there and i don't have <?php */ ?> in the file
What's the best way to eliminate the back home button in the new version
