ISSUE SUMMARY: we are experiencing the same problem as this ticket
www.jomsocial.com/forum/groups/30623-fil...n-groups-not-working
We using 4.0.9 - file upload was working last week, but we put in a copy of our dev site to our live site and it isn't working and we don't know if this is a configuration issue or a bug. We are not aware we changed anything which would affect file upload
STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1Create a group discussion and enable 'allow member to upload file'
2 try to upload a file
3 choose file
4 start upload
5
RESULT 'Done' button shows but does not seem to work. File does not complete upload
EXPECTED RESULT Done button should work and file should be showing!

Hi, Susan.
This feature works in 4.1.3... you report bugs or issues with outdated version.
Please, before you report, test your issues under JS 4.1.3 (on most recent version).
Strange thing is that (as far I understand) it works on your dev... but not on live site.
Please, provide me URL where I could see that issue.
Hi, Thanks for such a quick reply!
I have edited the first post with some details of where you can test this. It isn't working in our dev site actually, but we hadn't noticed that problem there as we weren't doing anything that we thought would affect this functionality. So we did not have a problem in our live site with file upload up to last week, but we do since we copied in our dev site......and we can't work out what in the dev site has caused this. Thanks for your help! Clare
Hi, Susan.
Dobra, I was able to replicate that issue on your site.
Now I need access to site backend.
Htaccess credentials doesn't work, could you check them?
Hi, Susan.
I need FTP access :)
I have edited the first post with FTP details. We believe the problem is the content stripping routine added into bundle.js
That was relating to this ticket:

Hi, Susan.
I assign developer to this thread.
Hi Albertus,
We haven't changed anything ourselves since the bug occurred, (and we have already checked Legal Extensions (File Types) at joomla backend > content > media > options, and that was not the problem).
Did you change anything on our site? It now just worked for me too on the dev3 site, but it wasn't working before, and it still isn't working on our main site. Michal replicated the issue on our dev3 site, so we don't know why it is now working!
Thanks!
Hi Albertus, our developer thought this problem is a Javascript conflict relating to the content stripping routine added into bundle.js
That was relating to this ticket:
www.jomsocial.com/forum/groups/30176-pas...ication-is-corrupted
Could this be possible? Maybe that patch isn't in this dev site? The problem is still occurring in our main site. Please could you try there. I have added some login details to the first post in this thread.
Thanks
Hi,
can you elaborate more what changes that added to bundle.js?
the file upload URL is wrong:
https://sitedomain.com/demo//demo/files/multiUpload.html?type=discussion&id=4&type=discussion&id=4
https://sitedomain.com/demo/files/multiUpload.html?type=discussion&id=4&type=discussion&id=4
Hi Albertus,
The reason it worked for you was that our developer had replaced the bundle.js in dev3 to our previous version of bundle.js, as he was checking that it was the cause.
So if you now test file upload again in dev3 you will find that you can't click 'Done' after the file appears to upload.
[Please see the link to the other support ticket relating to pasting text into discussions. We think that the version of bundle.js you supplied there is the problem. We have now put that bundle.js that Jomsocial supplied back into dev3 that does tidy up the html, and the problem has come back.)
So if you can give us a new version of bundle.js that covers both bugs that would be ideal! Thanks
