OK, I am thinking that the search problem is if the event has an apostrophe in the title and the user puts an apostrophe in the search box?

User 1 creates event "By invitation only", and "hide on list of events" called Joe's Party
User 2 logs in and uses Event search to try and find this event by searching for "Joe's"

the issue with sclfire plugin it self. not jomsocial.
to prevent that error, please turn off sclfire plugin for temporary and contact sclfire plugin provider for more support
