You may escalate this thread to Support Manager, but bug fixing needs some time and it's not an easy task...

Yes, this is our policy as we use forum as a kind of ticketing system. One thread = one ticket assigned to user. In past users hijacked other users thread and it was a mess. We constantly asked to create own threads...
I'm happy that you may and want to help other users... I'll talk with Support Manager if we could allow users to help other users on forum.

Finally we have sure for this issue:
Make a safe copy of this file:
ROOT/components/com_community/models/events.php
Then upload file from zip package, replacing old file.
