Jomsocial is an awesome component but it's missing some really cool features that might help to lead traffic to our community. So we started looking around and we found some pretty cool ones: I wish they were integrated into Jomsocial. But for the moment it's working fine.The first component that we added is Profile URL by Simbunch.com. It's making possible to have a really cool vanity url like the following:
http://www.domain.com/username
The user can have some suggestions on the username or he can choose his own. This is great to communicate the url to other friends and being proud of having a short and cool url.
The other third party add-on that we are using is Para Invite, always by Simbunch.com. It allows to invite friends by logging into other social networks accounts (Google, Facebook, Linkedin, Yahoo). We find it really useful!
