This extension (component, module and plugin) allows you to add a radius distance search for your Jomsocial members.
Your users can search other members within a selected distance around a location (city name or ZIP code). You can define what profile informations are searchable and you can filter these settings.
Search result is including avatar, username and the distance to the entered search parameter.
The distances are calculated locally by using the Open Geo Database GeoNames (http://www.geonames.org/) - actually only US, Dutch, Belgian, German, Austrian and Swiss data is integrated. We will add more countries on request - just contact us about our support area at www.nobbis.net.
