I am sorry just to make it clear, the first time you said you cant change the password from jomsocial backend->members, right? and I already provided you the solution for this.. and I can say this is solved :)

and the latest issue, to be honest I dont really understand..I also tried this last time and user can change the password from jomsocial frontend->edit account, I dont think this is override issue..
if you dont mind can you create new topic, please? and provide again the detail steps to replicate this.. i will glad help to there (in new topic)

Thank you for your reply but ...

The 1st sentence I wrote at the 1st time was:
Changing user password via Login screen is NOT working.

Then I explained how I came to that conclusion ..

Generally, if user :
- has forgot the password
- Asking for a new password through the LOGIN screen
- After entering a new password
- login fails !!
- User is OUT.

So any solution cannot be provided unless fixing something at the login screen. It means that Self-Maintain is not possible.

Last time I informed about a change that I did, using JS HelloMe instead Joomla login. After suspending it, user can ask new password, but I miss the goodies JS provides, Facebook connect mainly.

Nothing changed top-down except the fact that other sites might losing users on daily basis, like we did ..

Do you mean Forgot Password right? ok..I already test this.. and seem everything fine as well..

we are using the same method with Joomla forgot password, since we also use joomla user component.. I suggest you also report this issue to Joomla forum
