Not sure if this will help anyone else, but I kept getting a blank page after upgrading to 4.1 on both the back-end and the front-end. I had to FTP and delete the contents of the following cache folders:

/cache
/administrator/cache

After that, everything appears to be fine.

Craig Luecke That happened to me with the RC version. A simpler way to fix this is to just hit the back arrow on your browser until the Joomla Admin shows up again, then hit the clear cache. FTP is a good backup method as well. 9 years ago

Michał I saw few reports in forum. After checking file system I noticed that JomSocial is installed abut files for front- and backend are missing. In that case just copy them manually from package to front- (site) and backend (admin). When backend will be unlocked, don't browse to JS but install iJoomla Installer and click "Override" button. 9 years ago
