MESSAGE Login Successful
This is probably not a JS issue, but a standard joomla one, so I post it here hoping someone knows. There are a large numbers of posts on this subject in various forums and lots of people look for a solution, but there are no answers. Does anyone here know how to turn off the entire green box "Message Login successful.", but without at the same time turning off any other...

Mindgem you need to look into the system jomsocialredirect plugin and change at the $mainframe->redirect( ... $mainframe->redirect($link). Offcourse with and update this change has to be applied again if the plugin get's overwritten. Would be better if the plugin provided options to turn on or off the messages 7 years ago

Gunnar I know the plugin as such, must just find the actual file and see if I can somehow comment out the line that calls the sucess message. I am not a programmer, but I will try. I would keep a backup of the file, so an upgrade would not be a problem. Thanks Mindgem, Gunnar 7 years ago

Gunnar Wow, now that was a good lesson I have done quite a bit of css styling (and created and cleaned up lots of mistakes while doing it) and am familiar with that and yes, I am using Notepad++. I am also familiar with the lanugage files, but did not know one could do this kind of reverse engineering. It is now 3 a.m. here and my eyes are bleeding so I will take a look at this first thing tomorrow... Show more 7 years ago

Gunnar Hi Sinisa, I cannot read file content with FileZilla and after copying over the lang files to my hard drive and making the indexing options and a search, still got no result. I guess I had a problem with windows search there. So I could not follow your approach above. In either case, I changed the file as you suggested, but the login message is still there :-( 7 years ago

Gunnar Thanks Mindgem and thanks Sinisa, it now works and I must keep this file because it looks very much like a file that would go lost in an upgrade. 7 years ago
