Hi Jeff,

I suggest you to take out invite friends menu item under main menu. that menu conflict with joomla route.

Albert

1 But i want to invite friends via "SCSocialWidget" that i added as a module in invite page on top, but when i am disabling the menu from main menu, this module also stop working from community menu too.

Now i removed that from main menu and aded in a different menu, but still same problem, all friends link still going to wrong page.

Hi Jeff,

about module stop showing. I re-assign the modules to community menu.

and SCSocialWidget I suggest you to make new built in position at jomsocial toolbar. I want do it for you, but your cpanel access detail not valid any more. you can provide me FTP access detail.

1. you need to make override documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Customizing_Template for toolbar.index.php
2. and create new position on it documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Built-in_Module_Positions
3. assign SCSocialWidget to community menu and put it at new built in position.

Albert

Thanks for the reply, sir i tried to add the module first on global position available "js_side_top" but it is not showing module on invite page, i am using jsn_metro template for jomsocial.

New login details for cpanel attached with this message, if you need that.

Hi Jeff,

I made the override for toolbar menu at /templates/jsn_metro_pro/html/com_community/toolbar.index.php
and I added new built in position with condition for invite friends page only

<?php
if (JRequest::getVar('option') == 'com_community' && JRequest::getVar('view') == 'friends' && JRequest::getVar('task') == 'invite') {
  echo $this->renderModules('js_invite_friends');
}
?>

and I assign SCSocialWidget module to community menu item and put is at 'js_invite_friends' position.

Albert

Thanks for great support.

Everything is working fine now.

but one of the members signed up and posted his profile URL to Facebook, when clicked people get the error message below but it does not tell people to sign in. Is there an easy way to add instructions to sign in or add a sign in button on the page?

screenshot attached with this message.

Thanks

Hi Jeff,

the only way is changing the text at:
/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_community.ini:
COM_COMMUNITY_RESTRICTED_ACCESS="Restricted Access"

or from joomla language override at backend.

you can put any text depend with your purpose.

Albert
