Hi, Max.

Please, apply patch from this thread: www.jomsocial.com/forum/groups/26550-no-...replt-to-discussions

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Thanks Michal,

it works...but it works too good now. Just received 9 (!) emails after creating 1 new discussion.
Can you please check again?

Thanks,
Max

Hi, Max.

How do you send emails form JomSocial?
Using cron job set on server or pseudo-cron set in JomSocial?
If you're using cron opt-out this prntscr.com/8j4ing

Hi Michal,

I don't really know to be honest. How can I find out?
Cheers,

Hi, Max.

Did you ever set anything like this here? documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Setting_Up_Cron_Job
If not, then you use pseudo-cron.
I saw in Mail Queue that emails are generated only once.
Please check in email header who is recipient.

Hi Michal,

I made no settings at Cronjobs in JomSocial. It is set on "yes" for Cronjobs.
On the email header all mails go to one email address which is one of my fake accounts.

So, do you think anyone in this JomSocial group received 9 emails, or even no email?
What do you think I should do?

Hi, Max.

Please, do a test:

1. Create new group
2. Add two users to it
3. Create discussion

You may also upgrade JomSocial to 4.1 and do test...

Describe results here.

O.k., now it all seems to work properly.
So were all those messages in the cronejob of the other groups for the time when I set emails for discussions off?

Thanks so far!

Hi, Max.

Probably some old messages were sent at once... ;)
Now it should be fine.

Hi Michal,

Sorry to tell you that our problem is still not fixed. On new groups everything works fine and the system sends out email notifications after entering a new discussion. But not at some old groups.... What shall we do?

Hi, Max.

Edit "old" groups and make sure that notifications checkbox are enabled there.
