hi jomsocial team, why do you use a different font in the "upcoming birthdays" modul? I think it would look better if you use the same font as in the other moduls...

HI Markus, the module gets the style from the template and that's the font this element has on our template, but I agree, it's quite ugly and we will change it to a nicer font

Second point: the new toolbar on top. With certain browsers it scrolls away... With other browser it stays at the top of the page (which i would prefer). And this behaviour is different with same browser on different devices. This could be done better! Checking before selling....

Markus we do extensive testing before we release anything i checked our site on firefox, safari and chrome and all show the same behavior, the toolbar doesn't stick, which was the way we wanted it. In mobile it doesn't stick either. If you have a specific example where it sticks, please post a screenshot here below.

Can you try to clear cache and do a hard refresh? this is what i see on safari, macbook. We had it the way you see it last week and maybe you still have that style in cache.

yes it seemed to be a cache thing.... now i see the same as you ;-) but i liked the other way, to see all notifications every time on the top.. ;-) that is why i like socialize template!!

Ah great Markus, yes, that's just a preference, for me I don't like the distraction, we may add that as an option on the module backend

I don't think showing the Birthdays is a smart idea, and I rather hope mine doesn't show up when its my Birthday (is there a way to prevent that?). It is one of my 'things' that I never show my birthdate on social networking sites (or else I put a fake date). It's already crazy that they suddenly switched from using usernames to real names. I don't know about other countries, but identity theft...
