I've tried all three login forms: JomSocial frontpage native login form, Socialize toolbar login form and Login Form module.
Each time I was logged in properly and redirected to profile:

Your issue is caused by MISCONFIGURATION of JomSocial redirect plugin. Every redirect is set to Control Panel menu item.
Please, configure it properly.
