Inbox Popup is half way down the page instead of in the current view

Hello,

When I click the message icon in the toolbar up the top, the mail popup window appears half way down the page, meaning users have to scroll down the page in order to see it.

I have disabled all css/js merging plugins and tested this and it still happens.

Any ideas?

I saw a SyntaxError: syntax error in your ajax_1.5.pack.js.
So first you should do - upgrade to current JomSocial version 3.1.0.4 (it also contains important security fix - remember always stay updated).

Then check again and post result here


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Thanks Michal,

In the Jomsocial component admin area it says that Jomsocial is up to date and gives me no option to update.

I also noted that the admin menu for jomsocial has disappeared and I have to enter the url manually.

I am not sure if these are related.

Should the upgrade to 3.1.0.4 be something that is automatically done from within the component or do I need to update it manually?

I also noticed lack of JomSocial link in Extensions.
It could has to do with extensions you have... maybe you exceeded number of links in administrator toolbar?
First time I encounter such an issue.

As for update: first make a copy of your system.
Then you can download newest package here: www.jomsocial.com/component/digistore/licenses .

Try to install iJoomla Installer and try to update JomSocial with it.

Hi,

I have managed to get the popup box working, however now when I try to register a new test account, clicking on the "next" button does nothing, and the next button disappears. I really don't know why this is happening and I've tried everything I can over the last two hours to figure out it.

Can you please help me?

I am using Payplans to force people to choose a plan, however the problem is still there if I have this disabled.

Please try now. I enabled jQuery load in K2 extension.
I tried to register and passed to next step.
Please confirm.

You use a lot of extensions on your site. The problem is that they loads a lot of scripts independently and create conflicts. This is a drawback of self built systems on Joomla! I advise to ask a IT specialist or developer to review your site for potential conflict issues caused by js scripts, jQuery and mootools.
